We’ve got some wonderful news to share! Our campus now has a special spot just for our talented alumni authors! On February 11, 2026, we celebrated the exciting launch of the Alumni Author Bookshelf at the PC Library. It is a collection that proudly showcases published works by our accomplished graduates, alumni faculty, and parents.

The ribbon-cutting was attended by our Head of School Dr. Eric Semler, MS/HS Librarian Jordan Williams, alumni authors Jennifer Wang and Dr. Shameen Prashantham, along with Alumni Coordinator Irrey Zhang. It was a lovely and sweet moment.

Currently, the shelf proudly displays 17 published works, including titles from:

We also asked our authors what drives them—and what advice they’d share with students today. Inspiring younger students to never give up on their passions, Jennifer Wang also reflected on the spirit of service instilled at Concordia: “Concordia taught me the importance of serving others, and to this day, I continue striving to serve my community.”

Echoing the theme of his book, Dr. Shameen Prashantham urged students to develop “an entrepreneurial mindset, a collaborative attitude, and a global perspective.”

“This bookshelf is more than a collection of books. It represents the curiosity, imagination, and dedication of our alumni authors—Concordia graduates, parents, and faculty, who are making an impact on the world. Their stories and ideas now live here, ready to inspire our students and our broader community,” Head of School Dr. Eric Semler captured the spirit of the collection perfectly.

This is just the beginning. We’ll continue to refresh the shelf with new works from our talented alumni authors (click here for alumni book submission). Looking forward being inspired by the stories only our Concordia alumni could write!
