The goal of “10,000 steps a day” is deeply ingrained in our pursuit of health, but did you know it originated from a marketing campaign, not science? Today, Eric T. Hyde (Concordia Class of 2010), a postdoctoral fellow at the National Cancer Institute, is using his research to challenge this myth and provide a more evidence-based guideline for public health.
